What is a REALTOR® Association?
All 757,598 REALTORS® in the U.S. are members of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®, but they are also members of their state REALTOR® association and their local REALTOR® association, from which they receive services, products, and educational opportunities. Though independent in their purchasing power, state and local REALTOR® associations are part of the NAR family. Theyre chartered by NAR and have an assigned geographic membership area. There are currently nearly 1,650 state and local REALTOR® associations with memberships ranging from 20 to 10,000.

Who are NARs REALTOR® Association Executive Officers?
The responsibility for serving members and communicating with both the state and national organizations is held by an association executive officer. These executives are the pivotal points between the service needs of the members and the policies and programs of the organization. And RAE is the only publication devoted exclusively to this powerful audience.
Often working with a full-time staff, the executive officer has broad responsibilities for day-to-day operations including community relations, educational programs, multiple listing service, office equipment and supplies, member publications, and retail sales.
