Its true. REALTORS® own or lease more than 1.7 million cars, sport utility vehicles, vans, minivans, and trucks. The reason they do is that REALTORS® are always on the go, visiting prospective clients, showing up for home market evaluations, signing up listings, showing homes, and closing deals. Just last year, 36 million home
buyers spent time in REALTORS® cars. Combined with 757,598 REALTORS®, thats 36,757,598 affluent car-buying customers.

But REALTORS® are not in the market for just any jalopy. They want cars equipped with the latest in communications equipment, because their cars also are their offices. They want comfortable, reliable cars, with plenty of amenities, because they spend so much time in them. And finally, many want luxury cars, because what they drive is a statement of their success.

Thats the reason the estimated value of all passenger cars purchased or leased by REALTORS® in the past two years is over $5.3 billion. And thats the reason almost 30 percent of REALTORS® own or lease a luxury car.

Wherever REALTORS® go, they are not far from a telephone. Therell be one in their purse or pocket, one in their car, one in their office, and several at homealong with several different phone lines. The reason is simple: Theres only one way to sell homes effectively and thats to stay in touch with your buyers and sellers. A REALTOR®s customers expect to be able to reach their salesperson virtually anytime day or night, on any weekday, holiday, or weekend. So REALTORS® are always in the market for upgrading their phone service: lighter, clearer, and more efficient cell phones, better phone mail, faster paging, and better bargains on local, toll, and long-distance calling. REALTORS® understand this truth: A phone call made to them left unanswered is a sale lost.
